Nutrition tips for the skin to be Youthful and Beautiful.

‘How to keep your skin Youthful and Beautiful’.

Greetings to you.

I would like to share nutritional tips on 'How to keep your skin youthful and beautiful'.

One of the main challenges that our society is facing today is, people are investing a lot of money on external beauty treatments which are definitely essential. However, what we fail to realize is that, external beauty treatments are just one half of the equation. To stay youthful and beautiful, we have to address the problem ‘internally’ as well. And that is where, ‘food and nutrition’ come into play.

So what happens if we continue the external treatments only and ignore our internals? We are looking at a whole lot of different problems. You all know what happens when we fail to look after our food habits.
Apart from that, there are many other factors that affect how we look.
From pollution to lifestyle choices, to stress to the lack of relaxation. These factors make looking beautiful a challenge.

I will help you all understand the importance of eating right to keep your skin youthful and beautiful for a longer period of time, from the inside.

I am going to share with 6 key points to walk away with, that you need to follow everyday to keep the skin looking beautiful and luminous from the inside.
Please mind that this needs to be done everyday.

For the skin to look luminous and beautiful everyday

1) Antioxidants: Protect collagen & elastin, elasticity, boost blood circulation. Example: Berries., spinach, nuts and seeds, broccoli, Apricots.

2) Vitamin C: It is key for collagen production. Gives skin firmness, strength, help the skin to repair. Example: Citrus fruits like Orange, gauva, tomatoes, green leafy vegetables, peppers.

3) Essential fatty acids: Healthy skin needs healthy fats. Omega 3 & 6 support cell membrane. And help maintain the skin’s natural oil barrier, critical for keeping the skin hydrated, plump, & smooth. Your skin can't make Omega 3 & 6 therefore it needs to get it through your diet. Example: Omega 3, salmon, sardiness, mackereal, flaxseed, walnuts.

4) Good quality protein: Our skin is formed mainly of protein and a lack of healthy proteins can result in a loss of skin tone and signs of premature ageing such as fine lines, sagging skin.

5) Sulphur: this mineral is important for healthy new cells. With the help of Vitamin C  and other nutrients it will build and maintain cell walls. It can help clear blemishes, can reduce acne scars, sun damage, pigmentation. Found in green leafy vegetables, Kale, broccoli, spinach and rocket, onion, garlic, eggs, apples, dates, banana, brazil nuts.

6) Hydration: Staying hydrated is essential for the health of your skin. Dehydrated skin will feel tight, appear flaky, rough, and finely lined. Drink up to 2 liters of water daily. Eat foods with high water content such as cucumbers, watermelon, celery.

So the takeaway from these 6 key points are essentially one should in fact start to have ‘rainbow’ meals everyday. It is basically  incorporating more fruits and veggies in your diet.

Your meal should be colorful : Red,orange, yellow, green, blue indigo and violet.

Food = Beauty If you look after what you eat and how you live you will radiate wellness and look charming.
